Square Enix partnering with Epic Games would not be a new development, as it released many Kingdom Hearts games this past spring on the PC store. This would make the earliest possible release sometime this fall or early winter. The game's exclusivity must still be kept in mind: Final Fantasy 7 Remake will not appear on any other platform until its deal with PlayStation has ended. This confirmation of Alan Wake Remastered retroactively gives more credence to the original leak, with Final Fantasy 7 Remake for PC, in turn, seeming all the more likely. Included in the leak was the then unannounced Alan Wake Remastered, which Remedy Entertainment just confirmed to be launching later this year. Originally released as a PlayStation exclusive, Final Fantasy 7 Remake had its exclusivity extended earlier this year for another six months. Recently, the game received a PS5 treatment, improving the performance and visuals, along with the release of a new DLC story, Remake InterMISSION, showing what Yuffie Kisaragi was doing during the main game. This reimagining of the hit original PS1 game provided fans a new look at Cloud Strife's adventures in Midgar with beautiful graphics, authentic voice-acting, and an intense yet refined battle system. Undoubtedly, Final Fantasy 7 Remake was one of the biggest games of 2020. That may not be the case for much longer though, as an Epic Games Store leak indicates Final Fantasy 7 Remake may be coming to the PC platform in the near future.
The game isn't perfect, but it is a complete remake with so much love and attention put into it, I cannot wait until part 2.Final Fantasy 7 Remake's greatest flaw is that it is not available for everyone, with it only being playable on PlayStation consoles. Add to that the slightly divisive change to combat and bosses which can be exhausting, yet is never boring and nearly always epic. Despite some texture issues this is a beautiful world, so much care has gone into the character models and the world itself it blends into the narrative to create a jaw dropping experience. The story itself does change dramatically, but to say any more would spoil events to come.
With probably the best voice acting (with that extra needed, special final fantasy cheese) which is entertaining and enduring. At the end of my gameplay I knew these people, this world more than I ever thought possible and became more emotionally attached then I thought possible. This works feels real and alive in a way it never has before, with a narrative depth dug deeper with every event no matter how small or how important to the main story. Yes, it can feel bloated with side quests which are repetitive, however the extra time this affords you with certain characters can not be underestimated, giving more breathing room for dialogue and interaction with the world around you and with said character's by your side. This will only be a quick review basically to some criticism being leveled at the game which can be justified but there are counters.
I could go on about how much the original means to games in general (myself included, though not as much as some) but this isn't about I could go on about how much the original means to games in general (myself included, though not as much as some) but this isn't about twenty-three years past, this is about the here and now.
